Knowing Jesus as the creator. We're told in John 1:1 that all things came into being through him. Nothing was created that he did not create. When he walked on the earth as a man, he actually did things that showed the disciples that he was God, the Creator. Now, in Genesis, when we see Adam being formed, it says he was made from the dust of the Earth. And when I meditate on that, I see Jesus kneeling down in the mud and scooping up the clay and forming Adam's body shaping it like a sculptor does. But more than that, He's forming the organs and he's running the blood vessels and he's forming the cells and everything, intricately designing this body. Well, there's a man who was born deaf in the New Testament and he met Jesus one day and Jesus spit on his fingers and stuck his fingers in his ears, and the man began to hear.
What is that all about? David in the Psalms tells us God dug his ears. What do you think about when Adam was being formed? How did God, how did Jesus form Adam's ear other than probably sticking his fingers in there and forming the canal? Jesus showed himself to be the Creator with that deaf man. He stuck his fingers in his ears and finished the creation that that man had never, that man's body had never finished.
We also see the blind man born blind. And what does Jesus do with him? He actually spits on the ground forms some mud. And smears it on his eyes. Again, what is that about? It's the same thing. When Jesus was forming the body of Adam, what did he do? He took the clay and he's forming his eyes with mud. And then they became fully seeing eyeballs! Isn't that amazing? And that's what Jesus did with the blind man! He showed himself to be the Creator. Now, those those two men experienced Jesus as Creator without a doubt.
Now. How does that pertain to me, or you? Well, you know, I've had a couple of surgeries now from cancer. I'm missing my thyroid. I'm missing a few other organs because of a second cancer. And my body is not working quite the way it should, not the way it was created to work. And one of the things I've been asking him recently is: Will you show yourself to me as Creator. I know you are, I want to experience you that way and I know that you could put a thyroid right back where there's one not right now. I know you could restore my other organs. I have the faith for it. I'm just asking you to do it.
So maybe someday he's going to reveal himself to me through an experience in my own body that he is Creator. And that's what I'm asking for.
Is there something you'd like to know him that way in? Perhaps you can ask him to do the same thing for you?
I don't know if he's going do it. That's up to him.
But I know he can. And maybe he'll do it for you.
I hope this video has been an encouragement to you.
