Fear... it grows and eats at our thoughts and our insides. Fear comes to us all. How we deal with the fear is what is important. For many, it’s something we can’t simply ignore. Apostle Paul tells us to be anxious in nothing, but by prayer and supplication, make your requests known to God and the peace of God which is beyond comprehension will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus!
It is easy to say these words and then say a prayer in hope that God will remove our anxiety, but this is not exactly what Paul is saying. Prayer is not meant to be a formula: “If I can just say the right words, then God will have to respond.” Prayer is about conversation with the Creator who knows the end from the beginning and wants you to move into a deeper relationship with Him.
In these crazy times, when people around us are reacting out of fear, take the time to focus on Jesus, the One who holds you and your loved ones in the palm of His hand. Talk to Him. Be honest with Him, and spend more time staring at Who He is, rather than at the unknown before you.
